Fiona leads Corporate Responsibility projects at Sandoz, the leading generics and biosimilars medicines company and division of Novartis. Despite many medical breakthroughs, millions of people worldwide lack access to essential health services and billions are still not able to afford to buy the medicines they need. After her first visit to Frontiers last year, Fiona was inspired by the ideas and innovations she heard about, and it reinforced her belief that digital innovation has to play a vital to increasing access to healthcare for patients around the world. Last year helped develop and innovative new program called Sandoz HACk – Healthcare Access Challenge. The HACk was a worldwide search for healthcare access pioneers with ideas to improve healthcare in their local communities, but who needed a little bit of support to get their idea off the ground. The winners were inspirational people who proved that innovation and digital health are critical to driving access for those most in need. This year Fiona is taking Sandoz HACk from a pilot to a fully-fledged program, and is looking for your help to find the next digital health solution that will reimagine healthcare and improve and extend people’s lives. Do you have what it takes to HACk healthcare or know someone who does?
